Meet Ms. Dian
Moriarty Middle School Library Media Assistant
I am a licensed EA and substitute teacher.
I was born in California but have lived all over the country. I have lived in New Mexico for 25 Years.
I moved here from Texas when I was 15. I finished school in Santa Fe.
I have been married for 22 years to our district's Sysadmin, and Paul has been working for the District since 1999.
Our daughter Tori now works at MMS too, and she is a graduate of Moriarty High School.
I have been working in the District for 12 years, the first three of which were spent at Moriarty Elementary, MMS, and Route 66 as a CDA.
I was given the opportunity to work in the MMS Library in 2011, and I jumped at the chance because I have had a lifelong passion for reading.
My hobbies outside of work include: reading and writing, cooking and football.
I love working in the library. The best part is helping students discover the joy of books, learning new technology, and hopefully setting them on a path to becoming lifelong readers.
I do believe my secret power is being able to find a book for just about anyone, based on a series of 3 or 4 questions.
